The End of our Journey

Hard as it is to believe, the last night of our vacation has arrived. As we try to stuff all of our belongings back into our suitcases in preparation for a long day of travel tomorrow, we are reflecting back on a fantastic family vacation. Our time in Spain was lively and vibrant as we savored the food and drink, immersed ourselves in city living, and took in the many sights to behold. Our time in Norway has been energizing and rejuvenating, as we have hiked many miles, scaled many peaks, and marveled at the endless natural wonders. We are thankful for the opportunity to share this time together as a family and recapture some of the magic (OK, and some of the irritation) that we experienced on our family sabbatical three years ago.

There are too many stories and too few minutes to share any detail of our experiences here. So, I will end with some of my favorite photos from our trip. Thanks for following us. This blog did not turn out as I hoped, but I think I made the best decision by dedicating my time to my vacation rather than to talking about my vacation. I know that is something that everyone will understand.

If the photos below intrigue you, just ask me when we are home and I will happily share more!

Showing off my hard core side on our first Norway hike

This view was our reward at the first peak on the hardest hike we took in Norway. When we reached the top and saw what was on the other side, all our hiking aches were forgotten.

Hiking in the midnight sun in the Lofoten Islands. This photo was taken at about 12:30 a.m.

The amazing view on its own, without all those people cluttering it up
